Overview We are fortunate to have a wonderful central location in the school overlooking the atrium—this provides an excellent working environment for both students and staff and is not only the heart of the building, but the centre of learning and is home to the specially commissioned glass art by Kirsty Brooks This is an ideal location for students to study, carry out research, or just catch up on the newspapers in a relatively quiet, relaxed atmosphere. We discourage noisy activities on a general basis (games club on a Friday can be a little lively!!) but are flexible when the situation demands it. Facilities on offer Study spaces where students can work in relative quiet and have room to spread out! A reading area where you can catch up on the newspapers or just read.Approximately 10,000 resources to support general interests as well as students’ studies. Copies of most textbooks.10 computers for research and coursework. A Search Station for access to the Catalogue Gallery space for showcasing the products of our Design, Art & Textiles Departments. Special events From time to time special events are held in the Centre ranging from World Book Day to Ghost story week and these will be advertised throughout the school. The area is also widely used for training sessions for the Gold Section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
